Waiver Agreement

I acknowledge, agree and represent that I understand the inherent risks and dangers of damage to personal property and serious bodily injury, including permanent disability, paralysis, and death in participating in a river-based event. I am qualified, in good health, in proper physical condition to participate in this activity and willing to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions of participation. The leaders of this event are volunteers. They are not paid professional guides or leaders. All participants share in the responsibility for their own safety and the safety of the group. I take responsibility for having appropriate skills, equipment and supplies for this activity.

In consideration of the right of participation, I have affixed my signature and waive all rights and claims by me, my heirs, or executors against the River Stewardship Council (RSC) and the individuals and sponsors associated with this event or against any landowner whose land borders the river or whose land will be used as part of the event, and acknowledge that the above assume no responsibility for any accident or injury sustained by me (including injuries resulting in my death), or damage to or loss of equipment prior to, during, and after the event. I understand I agree here to waive all claims I may have against RSC and agree that neither I, nor anyone acting on my behalf, will make a claim or file a lawsuit against RSC.

I have carefully read, understand and voluntarily sign this document and acknowledge that it shall be effective and binding upon me, my minor children, and other family members, and my heirs, executors, representatives and estate.
